L'auto gain recupera i dB persi in uscita.
What is a compressor?
A compressor is a dynamics processor that reduces the difference between the loudest and the quietest sounds. When the input level exceeds the threshold it is attenuated, and the ratio decides by how much: at 2:1, every 2 dB above the threshold comes out as 1 dB; at ∞:1 the level cannot rise above it. Below the threshold the sound passes unchanged. Auto gain gives back the dB lost at the output. Here attack and release are fixed: move threshold and ratio and watch the curve while you listen.
